University United Methodist Day School
University Day School was started in 1960 with ten children part time. Today we have approximately ninety children enrolled and we offer several programs. The school is non-denominational with a Christian environment.
We are a Class “A” licensed center and meet the minimum requirements set by the State of Louisiana. Our school has an open door policy, which means that parents are welcome to visit the school at anytime.
We accept children from the ages of six weeks to five years
of age. Our hours are 7:30—5:30, Monday through Friday. We offer parents several options for their children to attend (2 day—3 day—5 day: morning only, 1/2 day, and all day).
The children receive a mid morning snack, hot lunch, and an afternoon snack.
The infants and toddlers program consists of care in a supportive environment with supervised play. Two year olds receive the same quality care, while being given some freedom to choose activities. A portion of their day school experience includes language development activities.
